Dr. James B. Watson is a board-certified addiction specialist (DO, DABAM) with 17 years of expertise in Medication Assisted Treatment (MAT) and providing compassionate care to individuals struggling with addiction. He graduated from the prestigious Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine (PCOM) as a member of the class of 1999 and  completed his residency in Family Medicine at Mercy Suburban Hospital in Norristown, Pennsylvania, where he honed his skills in providing comprehensive and patient-centered care. Shortly after, in 2002, he established his solo practice in Family Medicine at 31 East Fornance Street in Norristown, PA, where he has served the community ever since. Dr. Watson is a pioneer in offering extended-release Buprenorphine (Sublocade) and has personally administered over 3000 doses since 2018, making him one of the nation’s top Sublocade providers. Dr. Watson’s patient-centered approach to care is built on guidance and cooperation. He firmly believes that patient education is the key to success, empowering individuals to take control of their health. Dr. Watson uses a direct physician care model and also accepts various types of insurance.
